Ezani bin Datuk Abu Bakar Ezani has spent his entire working life mostly in the Information Technology Industry. His first major experience was in 1978 where he implemented a fully computerised multi-currency system to cover all aspects of a London branch’s international banking operations including foreign exchange and money market transactions, financial futures, eurobonds and financial instruments management, loan syndications management, securities, retail banking, regulatory reporting, and a standard accounting and management information system. In 1984, as a Financial Controller for a London Metal Exchange ring-dealing member, his duties included treasury management, spot and forward foreign exchange trading, cash and three months commodity trading and arbitrage, physical delivery of commodities, trade documentation, budgeting, forecasting, and supervisory control over finance. In 1985, he set up own consultancy business in London which provided financial, advisory, and accounting systems and services to various clients. One of his major accomplishments was to set up a new financial control and accounting system for Policy Studies Institute Ltd’s (a research institute in London) multi-project environment that had a minimum of 200 projects running concurrently with a total value in excess of GBP 10 million. He relocated to Malaysia in 1996 where he spent time with a systems house specialising in the supply and support of computer-based products and services for the R&D, electronics manufacturing, process & power plant industries. Its main product is a 3D plant modelling and database which operates as an integrated engineering IT environment. Narinder Singh Narinder brings in 7 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry primarily in the business development area. Having had extensive industry experience in the financial services area, Narinder is well versed and networked amongst key regional financial institutions. Prior to establishing this unit he was attached to Telekurs (Spore) Pte Ltd, a global financial data provider. During his tenure there he was responsible for the marketing and development on a major scale in three countries namely Thailand, Malaysia and Brunei. Having converted Telekurs from its relatively new image in the region, Narinder had turned around this image to a more globalized one by penetrating these three Asian markets with great success. This was attributed to his constant efforts in incorporating domestic business values, which in turn worked out successfully in Telekurs expansion within these three markets. Prior to Telekurs Financial, Narinder was attached with CEIC Data Co Ltd, a Hong Kong based company for 3 years which is also the associate company of McGraw-Hill group and Standard & Poors. Narinder was a financial analyst where he was responsible of analyzing South East Asian Public Listed Companies P&L and Balance Sheets. Narinder has a Bachelors of Management (Accounting). Adam Murad Mokhtee Adam M. Mokhtee, CFA has over 14 years of experience working in the financial services industry developing expertise in equity, foreign exchange, interest rate and energy markets. As a member of the Treasury Risk Management group for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the US, he designed, analyzed, executed, and measured performance of risk management strategies, capital market operations and asset acquisitions. He has employed complex derivatives structures and trading strategies to minimize volatilities in cash flows, reduce debt, and maximize returns on equity investments. Mitasha Ramadasan The candidate is a graduate of Bsc Accounting and Finance (University of London) and Masters degree in Finance with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Previously the candidate was attached as a consultant at Magnus Management Consultants in the financial services group. There she was responsible in managing the risk management division in the pre sales and business development capacity. During this course, Mitasha had also garnered an extensive amount of knowledge in credit & market risk management as well as in the areas of Asset Liability Management, Basel II and risk management compliance for the South East Asian banks. She was also responsible for the relationship between Magnus and its risk management solution partner. Moreover she is also a certified product specialist for a notable Swiss risk management solution. Prior to Magnus, Mitasha was at World Vest Base where she had undertaken a couple of projects with numerous financial institutions in the capacity of a financial analyst and pre sales consultant. She was exposed to various functions with the FI’s which includes risk management functions as a middle office function within financial institutions. Hereon her interest in risk management had grown alongside her relationships with the local FI’s. |
